The district is initiating a comprehensive review of our school district boundaries, beginning with the three middle schools, and will be using a Boundary Committee for the review and recommendation process for both phases. Click for more information.
District 47 has partnered with local judges to provide students with real-world lessons in civic education. This collaboration supports the social science curriculum, focusing on topics such as the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, the Bill of Rights, and the US government.
Out of 43 Elevate nominations this spring, 10 staff members were chosen to receive the Elevate Award including Canterbury PE teacher Jennifer Gray and 1st grade dual language teacher Maria McEvilly.
